I consider myself a noobie, but I am learning more about electronic stuff all the time. I have searched and asked and can not find the
answer to this. I have a wah pedal with true bypass and I would like to put in an output buffer that I can switch off and on while the wah can remain on. I know how to wire in the buffer and I know how to wire a DPDT switch, I just can't figure out exactly how to wire the switchable buffer into the wah circuit. I am thinking that the buffer should be treated like an effect with its input and output going into the switches effects in and out respectively, but after that I am lost. If anyone has done this or knows how to do this I would really appreciate some help. Thanks a lot.

You should wire it after the wah circuit but before the wha switch.

Wah out (one of the outside lugs on wah pot)  ---- buffer switch a ---- buffer in. Then: Buffer out ---- buffer switch b ---- effect in on the wah switch.
This could probably be explained a lot better but it's pretty early here and and i still haven't gotten my coffee :)

Thanks, yea I figure the buffer and switch needs to be between the wah and the bypass switch. The buffer DPDT has to allow the wah signal through whether the buffer is on or not and I am still not getting eactly how to do that.

Have a look at this: http://www.muzique.com/lab/truebypass.htm
Do you have your wah true bypassed?
If you do, imagine the wah out is the input jack, and the output jack is the lug on your wah switch whitch the wah out is supposed to go to.

Eirik thank you much.  I have seen that website before, but that in combination with what you said triggered a revelation if you
will. I am pretty sure I know how to do it now, but I am going to use a 3PDT switch with a led to test that the buffer goes off and
on and I'll let you know. I made a drawing with MS Paint to post of the wiring diagram but I am not sure how to upload and post it.

Normally, the buffer goes between the wah 3 on the board or 3rd lug of the wah pot to the E.O. effects out of the true-bypass switch. With the buffer switch, you go from wah 3 to buffer switch jack in, then jack out to effects out of the bypass switch. That way the wah signal
goes straight through from input to output jack just like on the website you sited, and the buffer in and buffer out goes to the effect in and
out respectively on the buffer switch, so that goes in and out of the circuit. I have been staring at this for a couple of weeks and I knew
if was right before me but I couldn't see it. Thanks again!
