I bought a DIY overdrive pedal recently.
It sounds like tube sreamer.
I like what it looks like.

  Nice Green Box !!!
  Sounds great ...
Cool 'backing textile' for the photo...I don't see 'printed on canvas' like the old days so much...what's the material from/for?
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I like the quasi-military look of it.  :icon_cool:

I don't know how it is made.
But I like it very much. It can boost the mid, so my stratocaster sounds a little fat through it.

didier

open it up and show us the inside!  ;)

i command you!  ;D

sounds nice :)

The color is really nice, and the decals look very well done.
Please tell us more.  Where did you get it?  What is the circuit like?  IC-based?  Clipping diodes? Are those rivets on the corners securing anything on the inside?
I will promise more dire consquences than didier if you don't show us a pic of the inside.

Those look like allen head screws to me, not rivets...  :icon_wink:

I'd like to know how people do the stencil paint work for the labeling on their pedals?

I thought it was obvious that by "rivets" I meant "allen head screws".   ::)

So are those allen head screws securing anything on the inside, or are they just to enhance the industrial/military appearance?

waterking

It is not screw rivet, just ordinary screw.
I tried to see its inside structure but failed, because the board is soldered with the input & output jack.
But I know it uses diode clipping and the opamp is RC4558.

No, it's not an ordinary screw. An ordinary screw would be a standard or phillips. I know, I'm splitting hairs...  :icon_wink:

I don't know how to describe it, but you can take off them by wrench tuning guitar neck

That's definitely an allen head screw.  I'm a mechanical engineer type - what else would you expect from me?!  :icon_wink:

nelson

Now that we have established they are infact allen head screws.

It could be any opamp /diode clipper. Most probably a TS clone. But would be cool to find out who made it, and what the guts look like. Looks like an old sovtek pedal, atleast the "quasi-military" green paint.

I wonder if its made from the same tanks as those muffs  ::)

It's possible that by "ordinary screw" he meant "not an ordinary screw, but an allen-head screw."

Let's just drop the screw thing!  :icon_lol:

Wicked Pedal.  Sounds great too...Would love to see a picture of the inside if you got it.

I like the look, nice!! I have a similar one, I will post some pics, eventually.  ::)

I made this pedal myself. The appearance is the "military" green paint, for I had been watching the TV:《brother band》that time...aha!

The circuit of the pedal is based on TS808,IC is 4558,in which several TANT are used. The potentiometer and switch is ALPHA.

The guitar recorded is JEM 7V.

Thank for your attention! I will show its inside within a few days. And I am a Chinese. I am very glad that you like this pedal.
