Hi Guys.
I just put together a Fulltone AB switch ( http://fulltone.com/PDfFiles/AB_switcher.pdf) and am very happy with it (no hum!!!!).  I had the bright idea to use a bi-color LED (2 leads) instead of two LEDs.  I soldered a 10k resistor on each LED lead (for forward and backward flow) when I realized that I have too many wires!!  Poor planning!  So I wired one direction of the bi-color LED and finished boxing it up.

In this layout...how would I use the two lead, bi-color LED?  Do I just need to find one with 3 leads?

no one ever

never heard of 2-leaded bicolors...

The color of a 2 leaded bicolor is determined by the direction of current flow. So you can't have both LEDs on at the same time. By connecting one lead to a voltage divider (i.e. 2 10Ks from +9 to ground) and the other lead switched between +9V and GND you can get it to work.

I started out with nothing... I still have most of it.

John - I know I can't have both LEDs on at the same time...
Could you send me (or post) a sketch of the wiring using the voltage divider you're talking about?  I've been doodling on scratch paper for 10 minutes and don't see how to relate the two leads of the LED with my two +9V leads and ground.
Thanks!

no one ever - this two-leaded LED is just the one I bought with my first order from Mouser...obviously, I didn't know what I was getting!
