Hello,
I'm brand new to building and first of all I wanted to thank everyone here for this amazing, invaluable resource. It's encouraged me to get started and with purchase decisions etc. etc. I am working on the easy face and have it all soldered on perfboard. I'm waiting on the dpdt switch from mouser and it should be a couple of days. I am dying to see if everyting is cool with the circuit. is there anyway to do this without the dpdt? The pots, jacks are wired and waiting,  so if I connected them together somehow would that give me an idea. I probably should just be patient but if anyone could help or direct me to a link I would be greatful.
Thanks,
Brian

Janus,
Yes, you can try this out now.  Attach the input jack wire(not the ground wire) to the input of the circuit, and attach the output jack wire(not the ground wire) to the output of the circuit (in this case, the output from the center lug of the volume pot.

Peace!
Arn C.

Yes, I usually test things out this way before I box it up.

I test that way too. If you wire the jacks directly to the board, use double the length of wire you need. When your switch comes in you just cut the wires in the middle, and hook up your switch! Nothing to de-solder.

it's an alpha

mouser # 107-SF12020-L

having trouble with continuity, there seems to be none at Q1 then it picks up at the trim pot and into Q2. There is a guitar signal it is clean and the volume works. but the pre gain is not doing anything. Need to figure it out any thoughts would be appreciated..I'm rather new to soldering so I might have some issues there.
thanks,
