I need a headphone amp and would like to build one.  I've checked out the GGG.com one.  Is this one good?  Are there any others I should check out?

I need parts layouts, as I'm too retarded to read schematics.

Just done the MXR Headphone Amp on Vero from the GGG schematic.  I'll post it in the next day or two once I've checked it over.  :)

Headphone amp can mean a lot of things. From a hifi device that cleanly amplifies a line level signal, to a complete miniature guitar amp with distortion and speaker simulation. Does anyone know where the GGG Headphone amp fits on this scale?

Danny,

Send me an e-mail at datilderek(AT)excite(DOT)com.  I have something that might help you.  It is a 1/2 watt LM386 amp with a clean and distortion channel, and you can build it on perfboard in about 15 minutes with parts available from Radio Shack.  Avoid RS jacks, though!

You might find some interesting ideas here: http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=6
They have a pretty cool 'pictures of your builds' thread over there too.
