Can somebody of you guys help me out with a nice layout that would fit a small hammond box?

What layouts are you guys using?
Vero, PCB etc.?

Cheers

another thing I did was make the output switcheable between a straight volume control and a BMP tone and volume arrangement ... I think Jimi kept the treble pretty low on his Marshalls ...

Hi,

I just tried this with an NPN germaninum in Q2 (2N1306 from Small Bear), and it sounds great. The bias readings on the collector appears consistent with the 2N3906. It sounds as you would expect, softer clipping and far less brittle harshness. It requires you to increase the gain knob a bit to get the same fuzz, which I assume is do to the lower hfe of the Ge. I still like the Si version for it's harsher character, but I'm going to add a switch for this one.
