Hey this is guitarleeman.I have an amp Im trying to get working. It uses 2  6973 power tubes. It's missing 1. Does anybody know if you could use EL84's for substitutes? Im sure something would have to be rewired. :icon_question:

Depending on the circuit you might be able to change the pinout to EL84s but I really don't think so.

6973s used to be vvvveeeeerrrrryyyy hard to find until last year. EHX started getting them from Russia and you can find them at http://store.triodestore.com/69elrmapa.html. I got some from the about 2 weeks ago for my 1965 Gretsch 6162 2 x 10" amp. Good prices and prompt delivery.

What kind of amp do you have?

i had a blue supro that used those, i think.  they were extremely hard to find, and that amp really rocked.
