Mid Boost

Does anybody know where I can get hold of a schematic for a mid-boost circuit to fit inside a strat ala Eric Clapton's boost?

Aren't germanium treble boosters like the brian may or rangemaster  essentially mid boosts, or is it a different type of sound all together?

Would I be right in thinking that the main part of the mid boost (i.e. after the volume control) is essentially a discrete op-amp circuit?
