Wow...that topic looks like a weird equation!  :D

Welp, I'm still beavering away over 12v tubes thanks to Stephane's inspiration, and I just happened to stumble apon some pretty simple schematics for a tube compressor and a tube vibe/tremolo while browsing for various other doodads:

Perhaps some of you tube fans will find them interesting!  The more I think about Ton's creations, the more I wonder why tubes aren't found in more DIY pedals (considering DIY gives endless creative freedom compared to the rationality of the commercial market).

Oh...and the GM/Delco banter:  does anyone know if GM/Delco tubes are any good?  I remember being told they were the bargain basement tubes of their day, but I may have heard wrong.

Very cool!

I think I'd like to build this. Maybe you guys can help me out with a few things?
1. The heaters go to pins 4,5, and 9? Can i just run a wire from the the v+ to each of these pins in series?
2. What's the best way to get 12v?
3. What are the diodes pictured there?
4. Should I use a dual ganged pot for speed?
5. What does H.I. refer to? V+? If not, where is the v+ input for the circuit?

Thanks for helping a noob out :D

Hold yer horses their partner!  I'm not sure what voltage these circuits use, and they'd probably need some tweaking to be suitable for 12v.  I just thought some of the more advanced tube folks might find them useful.

"H.I." only looks like "H.I." in that unfocussed copy.

In fact it should read: " H.T. ". - High Tension -

somewhere between +150V and +320V.
