I just ordered the parts for a Mosfet Booster based on Torchy's layout. The layout called for a 10k pot for gain, so I ordered a 10k linear pot. Is this sufficient or should I have ordered another type of pot? If so what type?

Thanks

No, that's fine.  Depending on what sort of gains you need to discriminate between (e.g., variations in low gain or variations in high gain) that taper may not be exactly what you want/need, but the circuit will work just fine regardless of taper, and I'm sure you'll find another use for the pot should you find over time that you'd rather have a different taper.

Thanks Mark.  I'll try it out and if I don't like it, a pot is easy to change.
