Awesome, I got my 1st effect working on a breadboard. It started out as the LoFo MoFo but now I call it Fuzzy MoFo. I experimented alot. Swapped out caps, took out a diode, tried 5 different transistors, basically had a blast!   

Thank you SO much Aron for your forum. I'm hooked for life.

Now I need to learn to solder,

P.S. does anyone know how to tame a 2N2222A transistor, and are there other loud but not so noisy transistors like it?

There's a ton of high gain transistors though I'm not sure if they'd work in the LoFo Mofo or not. The 2N5087, 2N5088, 2N5089, MPSA18, and the 2N3904 have given me some good gain and no where near the noise of my 2N2222A.
