Moding a crybaby wah into a volume pedal ???????

I got an old crybaby wah that kicked the bucket the other day, I know there is a way to turn it into a volume pedal, but I just can't figure it out  Does anybody know how??

remove the ground from the 4.7uF electro and it becomes a volume pedal.

is it really that? just to remove that cap? i remember doing something like thiss before i took that cap out to see what difference of sound i would get and indeed it sounded like a volume!!! man i didnt even remember it

Ive tried this, but only gets minor modifications to the sound is it suposed to be like that?

I'd check your circuit.  The Maestro Boomerang's wah/volume selection functionality depended on this cap trick doing the job.
