Fuzzface or Hornet?

Dunno which to do...I'm tempted to build the Hornet because of the tweakability and reliability of silicon(tempwise etc), but then the Fuzzface is just so classic.  What do you think about these two projects?

I like the Hornet and it is basically a Fuzz Face, but the 5K pot is suspect after looking at it after all these years.

Hi.
Another improvement to this design is to use a 2N2369A (=PN2369A) as Q2 (Q1 in a 2 transistor FF) and do away with the 100 ohm resistor on the emitter.
This provides a little of the germanium tone by making the clipping more asymetric, as per the Ge FFs.
