is there any? something like the CLM6000? both photocell and LED in one....... or could i use a CLM6000 as a 10k? any ideas? THANKS!

Mark Hammer

There aren't many LDRs that won't operate in that range.  The question is whether you need it to be no more than that value, no less than that value, or generally in the neighbourhood of that value.

Keep in mind, yu can always set the minimum resistance by sticking a fixed resistor in series with the LDR, and can similarly set the maximum resistance by placing a fixed resistor in parallel with the LDR.  Even if the LDR has a dark resistance of 10meg, placing a 10k resistor in parallel witrh the LDR means the effective combined parallel resistance will never exceed the value of the fixed resistor - 10k.

Thanks Mark!

i just need it for the gargletron so that i cna use the HOT POT to control the resistances, in this case i guess im gonna need a 10K to blend both filters but im not sure on how i would have to use them, would i need2 or is there a way to do it with only one?? thanks!
