Telray Compressor Volume, need help setting

Hello, I've had one of the compressors for awhile, but I never really messed with a compressor(So I'm not sure what I should be hearing).  It has two trimmers inside, Link at the bottom of post for link.  I"d like to get it set up.  So I'm looking for some tips, pointers.  Where to set trimmers, what to listen for, etc.  When I bought it, they said it was non working.  It seems like it works its just not set up right.  Thanks, hope you can help.

  Thanks, some usefull info.  So does anyone own one of these?  It has volume and effect so I reckon the trimmers are to set volume and the threshold?  Well guess I'll just fiddle with it and see what happens.  Guess It'd be nice to know what the stock setting is, wondering if anyone has messed with it before me and got it all out of whack.  I know it's probably to each his own on this subject.
