All right...

I'm building an EH micro synth clone using Bill B's layout files. I think that I've got everything ahead of the VCF/VCA section working, but right now I just get some stuttery farts out of that.  I'm sure I'll get it to work - eventually!

I have maybe two/three questions, if someone can help me out....

1.) I made the following corrections to the "hartery" schematic, which I found in an old post. Can anyone confirm the correctness of these? Are there other corrections that need to be made?

>R3 is a 100k lin pot.
>R8 is 33k
>R12 is 1k5
>R21 is 22k
>There is a 10k resistor from pin 1 of ic A8, or top of pot to ground.
>R68 is 12k
>In the place mark as 1, going to R105, there's a 10k resistor to ground.
>R89 is 47k.

2.)  In the "hartery" schematic, it looks like the top lead of the sweep rate pot just floats in space, but on one of the older original schematics that I've seen it looks likt this is connected to ground. Which is correct?

3.) Reading old posts seems to suggest that this thing is pretty sensitive to the setting of the preamp level pot. What is a reasonable V-p-p signal amplitude to be coming out of the various sections on the schematic (point 2,4,5 to the VCA/VCF, point 1 to the bypass). It seems like the octave/suboctave/square wave sections are pretty low voltage.

Thanks!

hi! i'm the one who made those corrections by tracing a real one. the top of the sweep pot has no connections. it's a variable resistor. you can check each section by disconnecting from the input of the filter, and going to a jack to see if it's working. check direct, octaves, and square. if all those are working properly, then focus on the filter section. fart means something misbiased. check your voltages...
