wanting to mod noise gate aspect of an EH holier grail... Schematic?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had access to a schematic for this one, the verb is musical but I'd love to modify the noise gate on mine to do something remotely useful.  It could be really cool, if it had a better envelope and didn't totally close, more like a downward expander.  Something as simple as blending in the pre gate signal with the post gate signal would be fine.  Theres a ton of empty space inside the chassis for daughter boards and extra controls.  Lowered resale value not an issue.

If EH didn't want us modding their big pedals, why'd they leave so much room?

I suspect the noise gate is embedded in the programming of the DSP, in which case DSP=SOL.

I was wondering that.  DSP often equals SOL for a mod minded young pedalman.  I thought it might not be, only because it worked so bad...
