Anyone have any experiences with AVX metallized poly film caps?

Nice and small, cheaper than the Xicon polys I've been using. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I have been using these for a while now and think they work well. Of course I'm not super exacting expert. I can't hear any difference. The size is nice, they fit into small spaces.

A photo comparison of 0.1uF caps.
There's a photo I took of AVX Multi-Layer and AVX Boxed Metal.
The Multi-layer ones are smaller than the boxed metal.

Are these the ones your talking about?

Only thing I don't like about them is the short leads.

Seriously though, I had some trouble getting these things to fit a PCB layout as well. I think it was the PT-80 from General Guitar Gadgets. I still like and use them whenever I can. The price and (as far as I know) the quality is great.

I ordered these without thinking of the GGG PCB they were going into. When it came time to solder I notice JD includes extra pads for different spaced caps. They fit fine in the three GGG projects I've completed using the little yellow AVX caps (Strat-o-Blaster, Mini-Booster, Fat Boostered).

I just wanted to plug the quality and well-thought-out-ness of JDs layouts. Oh and Tonepads layouts are great too.
