Flatline Comp Question

Hi fellas,
Just wondering if there is a major difference in sound or response between the DOD 280a comp and the Flatline?
Also, could someone help me out with a PCB layout for the Flatline so I could etch a board for it?
I'm not a Vero-Board builder.....yet!
