Joe's LED trick for green ringer?

Can I use LED trick with green ringer since it doesn't have Volume control at all (LED Trick requires 100K or less volume control)

yeah if it's like the ggg one it will work. The LED trick needs a DC resistance to ground to work, this can be the volume pot or it can just be a resistor to ground on the output of the pedal. The green ringer has a 47K resistor to ground on the output so that gives the LED trick the resistance it needs.

What exactly is this LED trick? Does it allow you to use an indicator LED, or is it used within the effect for characteristics?
