Ruby Build: Great little amp

Took an evening to build from the PCB at generalguitargadgets, but an additional evening to debug. Couldn't get anything but a sqeal. Tried different opamps, rechecked all the component values, even unsoldered and tried a new tranny. Hours later I found a tiny solder whisker shorting to ground. Couple of seconds with an xacto knife and it was up and running.

Fun project, great sound. Thx to runoffgroove for the schematic and ggg for the build guide and PCB!

Thanks! I used the LMB Heeger MDC-432 aluminum box which measures in at 3" x 4" x 2".

Meters, Knobs, Switches everywhere! Kinda looks like a mix between Moog pedals (box shape) and 4ms pedals (the ridiculous amount of controls). Nice Job!

I wish. My real job is technially challenging, but nowhere near as much fun building pedals

It was quite a job--I don't think I'll build something that complex again for a while...

Excellent ruby demo, mate!

Can't wait for a fuzzLab demo. With that interface, a video demo is a must! We wanna see all those meters movin' and your big golden hands twiddling with the knobs and switches.

If you're in the (generally texas and cali, most other states only have one), Fry's has a bunch of nice enclosures at their store...I got my first Hammond 1950B there...for $10.99. But to me, the 20 minutes of driving is better than 6 days of shipping if you need it fast.

They've got sexy sloped-front enclosures like that one...the Fry's near me (in Cali, they're mostly in Cali) has a good two shelves of stacks of enclosures. Check em out.
