Unmarked PNP Germ (pics)

I took it from an old clock. Brass colored lining/leads and green expoxy filling. Completely unmarked and hfe about 120, leakage under 300uA. Tried it as Q1 in a "hi-gain" FF with a AC188 as Q2. Sounded really good.

I'v seen 2N 20 44, 20 48 and ASY 29 Ge NPN in  exactly the same cans!

Thanks. I have an ASY27 which uses the same can but without the epoxy and brass colored lining and leads.

Hey Sam,

Nice find.  Looks a lot like a 2N1305/07/09.  The "Germanium Power Devices" PDF shows specs on NPN's but the PNP's are basically the same:
