Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows how much cut/boost the ggg 6 band EQ has?

Cheers

I'll try to remember to dig out the original article tonight and check.

Cheers Dean.... Will keep an eye out.

Ok, each band/frequency is specc'd at +/- 13dB.

Thanks Dean,

Sorry if this seems a bit obvious ........

but if I wanted to make a 10 band  version (like the MXR 10 band one) would I just add more op amps to the end of the chain with the corresponding Ca and Cb values?

I haven't checked the schematic...

but you'll most definitely need more current, it'll sap a battery quicker. More voltage, I'm not sure.

No problem Andy! :)

Yes, you're correct. Just add more of the gyrator circuits, the part that is duplicated for each band. That is what the original circuit was - 10 band. While it will draw a little more current, it won't be lots - all you're adding for active stuff is another TL074.

Cheers Dean and Salty beans.

Another project to add to the list...    :)

when I say you need more current...just try not to use a battery (solely). Use a DC jack instead, and a decent wall wart, to get enough current, cuz more op-amps and whatnot will suck the charge out of your battery pretty fast.

Happy building, bro
