I'm rather new to this but I'm picking it up as I go.
Zachary Vex pointed me in the direction of this forum.
Thanks

Are you sure you want to? It's a tough one to transform... Don't you have a tuner-out on one of your other pedals? Or an unused stereo-out?

You can build yourself a true bypass box, this would be handy for other things and it's probably lots easier...

Thats great advice.  Every pedalhead should have one.  With one of those you can try putting pedals you're thinking of True bypassing in the loop of the True Bypass pedal and you'll be able to hear exactly what the bypass of the pedal in question sounds like.  Then you'll be able to decide if its worth it or not to modify it.

One reason not to TB your TU-2 is it works well as a buffered signal splitter, so things on each output won't interact with each other.

Yes, that's a good point also TU2's are almost all SMD ( tiny surface mount devices on the board ) so would
be a P.I.T.A to alter !!

A lot of folks just use an A/B box to switch between their amp and the tuner.

Thanks every one.
The point about it being a buffered spliter has swung me.
That is exactly what I use it for... one channel going out clean
and the other going through a modded boss OD 1, Big Muff etc.
So I'd be defeating that practicality by making it True Bypass.
Thanks for telling me.
