Makes me thinks of a mistake us Europeans musnt'do on the american ebay, enter "$10,00" instead of "$10.00".
Ebay.com will convert the bid to $10,000.00 and once i didn' check before confirming the bid and ended up biding $76,000.00 on an effects pedal.

When i entered my amount the auction went up to the previous bidder's highest bid which was beyond $100. I sat back for a second and thought i didn't want the pedal *that* bad, so i figured out how to retract the bid (reason : entered wrong amount lol). So the auction went up and down and i emailed the seller to explain my mistake and apologize lol.  And on the bid list, everyone could see a fool had tried to bid $76,000.00 for an ibanez modulation delay.
