Hey, ive bin reading up on all the RM mods and come up with a Schem/layout kinda thing  :)

Any input from you guys would be great. Critisism, praise, recommendation. It's all good  ;)

Also, if anyone would be kind enough to breifly describe how to convert Schems to Perf / PCB designs; it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, jim

The RM is not a good fullrange booster, I prefer 5n, 5,6, 6,8n as input caps.
I used to make the output C switchable too, for finetuning the unit to different guitars and amps. Values are 0,01, 0,022 amd 0,047.

You should use a 5k trimpot instead of the 3,9k and a 100k trimpot instaed of the 68k for  BIAS adj. and to match different transistors with different hfe.

I'm not sure about the values because I haven't built one but these seem fine based on toehr FX values.

To build a perfboard layout you really can just translate the lines of the schematic to wires and components on the back of the perfboard board. Especially with something this simple and of few parts.
Just use the extra length of the resistors and capacitors to connect your components. Use the cut off ends of the other ones to make jumpers to connect the longer traces.

Take a look at Runoffgroove.com to see the layouts they make. Most of the projects have a picture of the bottom of the board and all the connections and wires...

Ive had a rethink, and added some components. Im not too sure how to fully connect the Extra pots tho. Would i ground them?

Here's the schem so far. Thanks guys  :D

Any input, once again, would be appriciated

I think ive got it, i found a nice little bit of info in the WIKI section. Would i just wire the middle "lug" of the pots to the end one? Also is there really any need to add a resistor across it for "safety"?
