Is is possible within the lines of reason to build a DIY metronome and/or standard tuning tuner?

Metronome! yeah plenty of stuff on the net using a 555 timer chip. Just google it.
Tuner! don't know but i can't see why not. Might be hard to find a schematic on that one.
