hey guys, i recently had to buy another wah pot for my wah because the one I have now (Blacktop Pro Wah Pot) kept making a scratchy noise. In fact this is the second time this happens to me with thias kind of particular pot. I found a Bourns Wah Pot recently on the net for sale which loooks like the same kind of pot the Roger Mayer sells with his wah upgrade kits. I was just wondering if anybody here had tried one of these pots and if so what are the pro's and con's as compared to the wah pot i have now. :-\

Hey,

I just got a Roger Mayer Life pot.  Didn't try it yet, too busy.

I tried all other pots and like Propot the best.  If you are having troulbe with it like you said, you are probably heating it too much when soldering.

The ProPot is 200k and is smoother S curve than Fulltone.

The Bournes is Linear and should be more even with no "S" curve and would feel and sound totally different.

try both IMHO. Sell the other one....

Where did you see these Bournes wah pots that aren't roger mayer pots?

hoep this helps

Hey formerMember1, could you describe the difference tone-wise compared to the Blacktop Pro Pot. Maybe once you install it in your wah. Just so I can get a better idea.
