I ordered NPN instead of PNP for the "1969 boutique fuzz face". Real bummer...
So I´m gonna do the reverse polarity trick referred to in the DIY FAQ.

Reversing the polarity on electrolytic caps: Do I just solder them the "wrong" way around?
Reversing the polarity on the power supply: I´m gonna go "battery only", do I just solder the red cable where the black should go and vice versa?

Thanks, Jörgen

The answer to both questions is Yes.  :icon_biggrin:

Don't let it be a bummer, just adapt.  :icon_wink:

Using NPN also means that if you wanted to install a DC jack, you can share the power supply with the rest of your effects.
Eschew paradigm obfuscation

Allright!  :icon_biggrin:

Thanks a lot amigo!

Umm, so if I want to install a jack, will I have to reverse anything or can I just follow the layout?

Thanks, Jörgen

just reverse everything like you said, and hook up jack as normal.
this is optimal in my opinion..........it will be the same as your other pedals
(ala boss that is..............)

Yeah, that´s what I thought. Keeping the BOSS-factor to a minimum though... ;)

Thanks a lot!
