wattage on resistors

Is there a difference between 1/2watt and 1/4 watt resistors in terms of sound or just size? Thanks for answering a probably obvious question.

There won't be any difference in "sound".  There are a few around here who say that differences in composition i.e. how and what they are made of may make a difference in some circuits, but I don't have any experience of this myself.  There's plenty on this subject if you do a search.
