Anybody seen the guts of these guys yet?

http://www.bbesound.com/

According the new musician's friend, the Freq Boost is a rip of the rangemaster, the free fuzz is an si fuzz face, the green screamer is the ts-808, and the main squeeze is an orange squeezer.  MF actually says the pedals are specifically based on the ones I listed above.  I guess it surprised me that they told us exactly who they ripped off.  I bet the Boosta Grande is a LPB.  Any one want to venture a guess on what the crusher is ripped from?  Anyone think they pedals are gonna sound good?  I'm gonna hit the music stores later this week and try to find them for a pepsi challenge.

Don't know about the Crusher but I advise Mr.Orman to keep his eye on "Boosta Grande". ;)

Not trying to spark controversy, but I was reading about them in the new Musician's Friend catalog.
Pretty much they're clones of well known circuits, or so the catalog said. Not too tough to figure out.

Why on earth were these pedal needed?

If you build it; they will come...(and buy it).  Maybe people think they're getting booteek at bargain prices :icon_rolleyes:

I haven't seen anybody selling treble boosters for less than boutique prices recently, so I would think that there might be some market for them.  But it definitely seems like their sales pitch is "boutique pedals for boss prices".  They also do claim to have tuned the pedals and made improvements on the basic designs, so maybe they won't be crap.  Maybe.

Depends on what one states as an improvement. To most of the world, surface mount components are an improvement, for example.

Their effects are supposed to be pretty good but, I'll stick with DIY.
However, it is intersting to see BBE hop onto the bandwagon so to speak.
I'll bet the EA Trem is next on their list :icon_exclaim:
