Yes, i've been scan through the website. Found good image and detail info. Unfortunetelly, there is no schematic of the preamp...   :icon_frown:

what more do you need?  You got the IC numbers and few good pictures.  Go trace it yourself.

The sense of Entitlement here is amazing

I've not come across a photo that shows a clear shot of the cap values. They all seem to be to far off, not shown, blurry or pixilated. If you were looking to replicate the exact tone of the Stingray preamp you would want those values. It would seem like they would be easy to get seeing that this bass has been made for 30 years now. From what I've read the 2 band is the same they have used (for the most part) from the beginning. Maybe someone here who owns one could post those values?

All i need is the pcb route to do reverse schematic engineering. The cap value can be calculated by ourself

It's on that page, but if you missed it here's the PCB:

Gus: I just replied to your "entitlement"-thread, and now it`s gone???

Ok this was me and a friends attempt to trace the EB 2 band, all the resistors and caps values are correct, the problem is that my friend couldn't trace it all correctly so if one of you can please be my guest and let me have a copy of it.

Gus: forget my question:
I only posted a tip for you there, concerning signature/avatar
as can be seen in my PM reply to another forum-participant,
who asked me what happened to the thread, right after he had gotten
a topic-reply-notification, but couldn`t click the topic anymore:

QuoteHi *** - dunno - just coming home again, after having been away for ~3 hours:

I noticed about 2 minutes after I replied to Gus` initial post, that I couldn`t view it anymore - I looked into the Lounge, the normal forum, looked into Gus`s profile for his latest posts, but it was gone.
Must be either another forum-transition-glitch, or:

My post was very very civilized: I had only quoted Gus`s sentence that he visits other forums where he could see where people live;
I told him, that you can do this here too, by putting your city/country into the avatar.
Or you can look into somebody`s profile, if he put that information there,
to see where he comes from.
(he was concerned about possible language problems, and the ability to see, if someone got a different mother`s language).
I linked to my own profile as an example, that my city/country is noted there, although it doesn`t show in my avatar.

When I couldn`t find a trace of Gus`s thread, I posted a message to him in one of Gus`s other latest posts:

I will do my best. I have the 6 string guitar schematic and I have the U.S. patent schematic on both that shows the schematic minus the values. Are those values taken from a bass in front of you? What year is it?

I also have couple questions reguarding the values. After the 1K resistor before the output is that a 10uf cap? (having a hard time reading it). What is the output pot value? Are those 2.2M resistors up by the 9V? Just after the input, before the treble is that 2.2n?

Yep the values were taken from the real deal, I don´t remember the year but it´s a SR 2band.

Well here we go with the questions:

- After the 1k resistor there is a 10n cap.
- Don´t remember really but will try to ask my friend who is the owner of the ray.
- Yes those are 2M2 resistors.
- Yes it is a 2.2n cap.

Hope this help ..

Could someone verify this?

Update:

See updated schematic on following page.

Why you don't try to spice it? I would do it but I'm crap using the software.

Why would you bother to put it into a spice program? It either is or is not the circuit. I don't want to post a "half-way-there" schematic. If we post this we need to confirm it for posterity.
I believe this would be the first schematic ever posted for a circuit that's been in production for many years. I would say it needs to be available exactly the way it was designed.

Update: there are supposed to be a few schematics for this floating around (who's got them? Help!).

Mcgiver69

you are totally right !! I will send the prototype to my mate to see if he can backtrace it using he's MM. I hope we can get this one right.
