Hi everybody !

Juste one question : i've made several effects (fuzzface, phasers, trem etc...) but i'm desperate in face of the ts808 clone from Tonepad (griton) : when i plug the guitar, bypass (simple DPDT switch without LED) works and when i power on the effect, it works but very low & i have to increase a lot (more than 75% !) the volume of my amp... and when i come back to bypass the sound of my amp is on the maximum !!!
I used the layer from tonepad, all the resistances, capacitors are OK. The diodes for clipping are 4148 (I tried 1N914 etc...), the Opamp is the JRC4558D and the transistors are 2N3904 (I tried to replace Q2 by 2SC1815 & it's quite a bit louder but not enough. Replacing them both by 2SC1815 doesn't work)...
I've put a 4.7 M resistor in place of the 2.5 M but it doesn't change anything...

I'm desperate !!! Could someone help me ?

hi,

welcome to the forum!

with problems like this, there is a standard approach to getting help that starts with reading the debugging page (link at the top of the page along with DIY FAQ ...) and the topic "What to do when it doesn't work", posting all of the info requested there.

use the audio probe to figure out where, starting from the input, the signal loses so much amplitude and tell us that, too.

forumites have helped diagnose hundreds (probably) of ts808 clones.  you are bound to get the help you need.

looking forward to hearing more, gm
