There's a new simple 3D modelling software released by Google for free. I'm sitting at a very slow computer without a 3D card at work so I can't try it out. I think this would be the perfect program to prototype the physical aspects of circuit layout and design for the innards of a compacted stompbox. Anyone use this prog yet?

No it's not a demo. technically it's not. yes it's limited but not in using time or saving. It's just equipped only with
the most useful features for exporting to google earth.

I'm really into 3d modelling, both nurbs and polygonal i think that the best free 3d modeler i wings3d.

ps: i downloaded google earth two days ago, it's great!
5 minutes and you're modelling!

The Tone God

Kicad hooks into Wings3D and can create a 3D model of the circuit board you just laid out.

A Wings/Blender combo brother at stompbox forums, I wouldn't of have expected that. I love that combination too, two of the best free 3D progs there is. It's been too long since I last was into 3D, I've been thinking of getting the newest versions of both progs and start animating again, but band comes first these days. Too bad my visual arts skills will have to suffer. Oh well...

You seem rather new at here. Welcome to the forums from me too. :)

Thank you Jim Rayden (yes im pretty new to the forum).
I'm a great fan of both applications.
Wings3d is probably my favorite modeling program. It's unbelievable how fast you can model with it.

I work with 3d so i work with them every day.
I rehearse with my band in the evening,
and making stompoboxes at night.
my girlfriend is angry all the time :)
