anyone knows how to do this? i want to make my flipster a di box for my bass. ive searched the forums but cant seem to get any answers. thnx

Look for a line driver schematic.  That's what you'll need for balanced XLR use.

You need the book "DIY Projects for Guitarists" by Craig Anderton.  The IGGY project is exactly what you're looking for.
