RoHS Compliant OTAs for phaser?

I'm still working on my phaser design, and just got my 13700s in, but now I'm worried about RoHS compliance.
Do you know of any good RoHS compliant substitutes?
Think someone will release compliant 13700s?

Thanks

I thought the 13700's were already ROHS compliant?

I know keeley is building his comp based on them to comply with ROHS.

From what I can tell, the NJM13700s on mouser and digikey are non-compliant, and the NJM#13700s are compliant but not stocked.
Any idea if that means they were stocked but stoped, or if they aren't stocked yet and will?
I'll keep looking, thanks for the reply

Keep in mind places will want to sell off their non-ROHS stock yet. You might find that as of 1st July the ROHS-compliant parts will suddenly be 'in stock'.

Of course, this will matter only if:
a) you are selling to Europe
b) you don't want to put a lable stating 'ROHS compliant' on your pedals. ;^)

Keeley probably ran out of 3080s first....

Great, I was hoping that would be the case, thanks a lot.
Do you know if those NJM#13700s are the ones that will be released, or is that old stuff?
I guess it wouldn't make sense being old stuff, seeing as it's a new law, and they wouldn't just off the compliant ones... sweet

RoHS compliant substitutes...........please remind me what on earth they are.

I'd have to go find the link again, but I have this memory that putting false RoHS compliance stickers on things is a criminal offense in some countries. It's worth checking out.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Of course - perhaps I should have made it more clear (than just using a winkey smiley) that wasn't a serious suggestion. However - seriously - I wonder if 'they' would ever go so far as to test the component(s) of a suspect device? I would be guessing this would be more likely to happen for something where there are 1000s being imported, perhaps not for the lower number of stompboxes (for 'boutique' people).

Oh - sorry, I thought the winkie meant that one would probably get away with it by just sticking on the label and no one would ever look.

"They" would never bother, unless they got a complaint. Of course, the chances of a competitor popping in a complaint or just running a quick lead-oxide test with one of the easily available home test kits are one you'd have to run. I consider the disgruntled complainer to be the exposure there if you have less than commercial quantities.

If I were going to sell in Europe, I'd just go ahead and make it compliant. There are very few things that can't be had compliant by now, principally things that are no longer being made. I'd be very surprised if the NJM13700, 5517 or CA3280 can't be had in ROHS compliant. Germanium's probably dead though.

Thanks a lot, very comforting. Now hopefully I can get this design done to my liking.

LDRs are the only worry I have currently.  :-\

Since the NE5517s are being made right now by ON Semi, I suppose they are RHOS.

According to Steve at smallbear Vactrols managed to get ROHS exemption.

I dont think ROHS compliance is going to be a problem for builders. Unless they use 2nd hand components. I also believe you can use up your lead inventory even after ROHS comes into force. But dont quote me on it.
