Difference between Polystyrene and silver mica caps

Hi,

I would like to perform a mod that needs silver mica caps. The thing is that I am in Morocco and they are almost impossible to find here. Could I use silver mica caps instead? What would be the difference?

Use anything except ceramic. I doubt anyone will be able to tell the difference. Certainly not me!
But perhaps you should tell us what it is you are modifying, in case it is something where it COULD make a difference.

Ceramics sound really good in some circuits, at least to me
