Wall-wart only problem

I´ve built a silicon fuzz face from the layout in Dragonfly´s gallery. Works great with battery power. However I want to use it with external power only.
I tried the method for installing a jack on GGG connecting the power out from the board to the center pin on the jack and then from the sleeve on the jack to the input. No dice.
Any ideas?

Thanks, Jörgen

The circuit isn't getting any voltage... [?]
  Reversed polarity...?
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I´m not sure. It works fine with battery.
I have a wall wart with a switchable plug and I tried it both ways. One way is totally silent and the other is just weak.

Anything I should try with that reverse polarity thing?

Thanks, Jörgen
