I was dreaming of this one for a long time now, ???
Just find out it CAN be done... :icon_biggrin:

I always wanted an Single knob tone control that would do:
center position= neutral curve, no effect on the original tone
going left= more bass, no effect on treble
going right=more treble, no effect on bass.

i found that the tone section of the dod fx-53 can be altered to
do the job,
by simulation i could exactly have a boost of the bass or treble boost
Good,

i cannot send values now but i will if interest is shown...
i can send .pdf file of the simulation with value if requested
PM me.

eaven with rain we have for a week now, some thing good can happen.

Go to the Duncan amp site.  There is a very nice tone control sim program.

also look for a tone control called a tilt control.

here is the circuit and simulation of potentiometer variations, :icon_biggrin:

i never found this "tilt control" ???  :icon_question: :icon_frown:
have a good look at my circuit  Gus, i have only one tone control (PIa and P1B is one pot divided in 2
with 2 resistors for simulation)

Hey cbriere, I sent a PM at you. (unrelated to this thread)

Hmm, I'd be thrilled if I could figure out a way to include a mid control for it... I wonder if it'll be much like AMZ's presence control.

You mean like this?

You can insert this circuit BEFORE the tilt equalizer, and ideally use another opamp to buffer the input of the notch control.

for a mid control, you could take a completely different approach...

i am thinking of a fairly wide-band parametric equalizer. then, use the pot to adjust where it is allowing frequencies to pass.

kinda unrelated, but yeah...  ;D

Wow, it could be quite a useful circuit. A tilt control and a parametric mid control "-in-a-box". Parametric should allow boost or cut of the frequency, along with shifting the bump/scoop at quite a range up and down the spectrum. Hmm, and perhaps another pot to control the placement of the "X-spot" of the tilt filter.

I feel another Runoffgroove EQ-project coming up. Just don't go above three TL074's, I'll be all over this project. ;D
