Just finished reversing one for a book, here is also a mod to change it to guv'nor specs (except for the switching and the buffers)

I usually try not to ask this type of thing, but could you post it on our site :)
Thanks

And I'm gonna try this for sure...especially because the original box is so cheap!

I might try this one. What is the difference in sound? I have allready modded my Daddy-O with a new Op amp and a silicon and a germanium in the place of the clipping leds. Sounds great!

Well, this modification just makes it up to original 'black box' guv'nor specs, except for the buffers. If a person wanted to, they could remove everything, change the pots, True bypass it, remove the buffers and you'd have a full blown guv'nor, but it may be just as easy to build one from scratch at that point! :icon_lol:

Yeah, that sounds like a little to much work. What I meant earlier was if there is any significant diffrence in the sound from the Daddy-o and Guv'nor, or do they sound very alike?

Glad to see there are others out there too who cares about this pedal. I love Dano, and their capability to make cheap, great boxes. Thanx for the schem, by the way.

It sounds a bit similar, the Marshall sounds less midrangey to me, and a bit more aggressive (probably due to the lack of buffers).

Take care,

I assume it has SMT parts right?  Any tips for dealing with them?  How do you put them in/take them out etc?  Just heat them up and  pull?

And did that last link for the mod submission work?

Thanks :)

syndromet

No SMT in the Daddy-O. Everything is DIL size, and the board is far from crowded and very easy to work on. I'm sloppy as hell, and even I had no problems removng the OP-amp and putting in a socket.
