I'd pay to read the unauthorised biography.

Roobin

QuoteAnd being the sort who would rather think too big than too small," the Baltimore Sun noted in a 2001 profile of Mr. Marshall, "who seeks rather than shirks challenges, who -- from racing dragsters as a teen-ager to touring on one of his half-dozen Harleys at age 53 -- has always liked to live fast, loud and brashly, Stephen St. Croix believes the best person for that job is Stephen St. Croix."

:icon_cry: :icon_cry: Man, what a loss... :'(

Mark Hammer

Well that explains why it was the Marshall Time Modulator, even though his name at the time was St. Croix.  You can read an interesting interview with him from 1979 here: http://hammer.ampage.org/files/Device1-3.PDF   I think I also have a more recent interview with him in Tape Op somewhere, but I may be remembering it wrong.

Interesting life.  Pity it ended so young, but some folks have a knack for squeezing more into them, I guess.

When you think of it, most of the members here will be around when the Mike Matthews obituary finally shows up....hopefully many years from now.
