So both my Rangemaster and Easy Drive tend to pick up a dull roar of various radio broadcasts, etc.  Maybe it's the fact that I live right under a huge radio tower, but still, it's very annoying...

Any ideas on how to make it go away?  The commercial pedals I have don't have issues(SD-1 and Crybaby wah.)

Make sure the circuit is properly grounded.

A small .001uF cap to ground at the input helped in my Stratoblaster that had that problem.

Get yourself two 100 ohm resistors and a 100pF ceramic capacitor. Hook the two resistors in series between the input jack and wherever the wire goes from the input jack. Hook the ceramic cap from the junction of the two resistors to the ground lug of the input jack.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
