Painting a pcb

Hi, I have a pcb that has no laquer on the copper trace side. Normally you spray it to prevent corrosion and such. But the guy who made it for me didn't do this. My question: can I just spray paint it? I haven't got this special pcb stuff, so was thinking of putting some leftover spraypaint on there, to prevent it from damaging and shorting. All components are already on it of course. Wouldn't it hurt to cover the traces and soldering with some paint? Thanks.

Use a coat of clear lacquer/varnish ?

Well I don't care if it's clear or not.. It's just that I have some left over black paint I want to use, if that's possible without doing any damage to the pcb traces.

Yeah,don't worry. I use nail warnish sometimes and cover only traces, so it doesn't make problem if I (un)solder later. Now I've got some cool spray that turns into plastic when hardens and you can solder through it.

I use Rustoleum clear with no issues.
