Difference between LPB-1 and LPB-2

Im thinking of building either the LPB-1 or LPB-2 and wondering what the difference is between them? Also what do the LPB's sound like and what are the characteristics of their sound. Cheers

The 1 version you plug directly into your guitar, the 2 version was in stompbox format

Ok,im trying to get this. Version 1 is like a guitar mounted version so iots like an onboard boost and version 2 is basically a stompbox version. Am i right? So what does the LPB's sound like, i know their boosters but what are their characteristics.
