Hi,

I built the Morley PWA II power wah from their schematics found here: http://www.morleypedals.com/downloads.html

I was wondering if anybody else who has built it had audio samples kicking around somewhere.  I'm really happy with it but it seems like it's not quite reaching the height of it's sweep possibilities.  I was hoping to check somebody else's out to compare.

I used a VTL5C3 with a 50k pot.  I tried a 100k pot but that only gave me more inactive space at the bottom of the sweep.  Was I way off in thinking that might help?  This is my first project with an opto.  I have read R.G.'s articles on Wah and Pots and checked out the boards here.  Maybe I should just bump up the sweep's center frequency?

  Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Are you using the pot to control the bright of the Led?

You might try using the pot in the place of the ldr and see what you get

  Hey thanks SuperGeo,

I didn't mention - I was building this wah to go with the tonegod's Vanishing Point 2.1... I was waiting for the decade counter and was trying to get just the wah portion sorted out first.  So yeah I was using the pot to control the LED in the vactrol.  I had found some previous posts by Michael Allen using this same configuration which included a sound clip but I couldn't be sure that he had any of the stages all the way up.  So I just thought I'd fish for stand alone wah clips.

The 4017 showed up this morning and now I'm not getting the amount of sweep I had before anyway so I'll have to figure this out.

  Thanks again,
Cody
