I want to build one, but looking at the schematics I saw a couple of possible (future) issues:

One of them is the voltage.... Does it need 25V?
Second is the germanium transistor (NPN), but I guess I could swap that with a silicium (low gain).

Anybody has any experience with this?
Am learning something new every day here

I built one for a friend who is the "Jerry" in a Misfits tribute band.

Mine runs off a single 9V supply. Just adjust the transistors' bias resistors to account for the voltage difference and you're good to go.

As for the NPN germanium, I used one of the AC187's I use in my Crucible Fuzz Ge. Small Bear or someone else who sells "Rangemaster" transistors should be able to fix you up with an NPN germanium.
