Reduce output of a Boss Ds1

Would anybody be so kind as to tell me how to Reduce output of a Boss Ds1 ?

reducing? all ds-1 i`ve ever playd had not much output-level... ???

What about turning the volume pot down ?
Doesn't that work ?

Hi,

It is a modified DS1 and it has too much output even if I set the  volume to two.

Any ideas?

Raise the value of the volume pot. That way it will filter out more volume.
What did you do to make it so loud ?

That's definately a pot taper issue. You're not looking for output reduction, you're looking for spreading it more evenly across the pot's turn. Replace the volume pot (which I believe you currently have linear) to Log of the same value. That's also known as the "audio" taper.
