hi people,

just finished the tonemachine. built it using the ggg pcb layout. fired up on first try and WHOAA!
this thing really rocks. the octave up is really pronounced when you switch it on, and what sets this one apart from many other octave up designs imho is that the sound without the octave is also killer.
+1 on bernarddur´s suggestion that this is a cool bass dist/fuzz ! i only have a shitty old hofner here in the "lab", but from what i can tell already, it´s really fat. have to box it up and use with the real axes+rigs for a final statement, though.

i used 2N3565 transistors and 4 1N34A germ diodes (for real vintage mojo, i decided to use the germs for d1+d2 also, though it is suggested that 4148´s can be used in these positions without change of sound)

cheers,
lowstar
