Could someone please check my Deluxe Memory Man voltages?

hi...

i've put a few threads up on my DMM with no luck, so i took fate in my hands and now have a few more questions  :icon_cry:  i was doing some mod work to it and i saw a flash up around where the power comes into the board (this DMM uses an ac adaptor, not hardwired).  the pedal still passes direct signal in bypass and with the effect on, but there is no effect anymore.  there is a 240 ohm resistor going from the dc in to a diode that now gets very hot.  since i saw the flash in that area, i traced out a short signal path of the components in that vicinity and their voltages.

the ac adaptor should be 24v dc out.  i measured it at 33.6v dc.  when i turn the pedal's power on this drops to 28v.

the 28v goes into a 240 ohm resistor and gets reduced to 18.7v (this is the resistor that gets really hot).

the 18.7v resistor end goes into the cathode end of a 1n4003 diode and gets reduced to 18.0v.

from here the signal branches in three directions.  the 18v goes to the anode end of a silicon diode (i think) marked with the numbers 751 (i can't make out the other writing on it).  the cathode end is grounded out, so 0v.

the 18v also goes to a 470uF electrolytic cap's + leg, and the other leg is grounded out, so 0v.

the 18v also goes to the middle leg of an AN7915T voltage regulator.  one of the outside legs goes to ground, so 0v there, and the other legs reduces the 18v to 15.1v.

i'm sorry i don't have a picture drawn out, but i hope what i'm saying makes sense.  could anyone please help me?  does this look normal?  i could post more readings, but i'm hoping the problem lies in the components above.  thanks a lot in advance... i really really appreciate it!   :)
