OK. I've build a "great" Rat clone; I added a clean blend to it and the volume loss due to this clean blend was corrected.

Now I wanted to add a Millenium C to this unit. I've build a lot of these and I used scavanged IC's. This unit's LED does not turn on when the unit is activated...... I tested the same millenium unit on another build and there it works fine.....

OK, so it's not a problem with the Millenium C, is it?  :icon_biggrin:

All of the Millenium Bypasses are excruciatingly sensitive detectors of resistance to ground. A resistor to ground of several megohms will make them switch. And that makes the entire Millenium Bypass family easy to test. If you connect a 1M resistor to their input, grounding the outboard end of the 1M resistor makes them light, opening the 1M resistor makes the LED go off. If that test works, the Millenium Bypass you've made works.

I would guess that your pedal doen't have a DC resistance to ground that will switch the Millenium if the Millenium works on other pedals but not this one.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
